A Nigerian student studying in the United States of America, has died after he collapsed during a basketball game.

Oritsetimeyin Amatossero-Keke, a Bluefield State student-athlete in USA, died at a local hospital on Monday night after collapsing following a pick-up basketball game, the Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports.
According to BSC Athletic Director John Lewis, Oritsetimeyin Amatossero-Keke, a second year student from Lagos, Nigeria, died from unknown causes after leaning over to tie his shoes following an open gym session at Bluefield High School.
Amatossero-Keke was transported by car to Bluefield Regional Medical Center, where Lewis said doctors "did an outstanding job", but couldn't be revived.
Lewis said that Amatossero-Keke was an outstanding student with the highest grade point average on the team.

A candlelight vigil is planned for tonight at Bluefield State at 7 p.m.
